Lasting prevention: results maintained at 12 months

Lasting pain relief and OA prevention1,2,3

DIART® containing high molecular weight of hyaluronic acid and Sodium Succinate is a unique patented formulation that combines chondroprotective and anti-oxidant actions, affecting key pathogenetic mechanism in osteoarthritis development that is often left without treatment.

Early and rapid onset of post-traumatic osteoarthritis (8.8% to 46%) is the main unsatisfactory result and cause of disability of intra-articular lesions treatment.

Development of degenerative changes (KL Grade 0–III)

  1. 3–12 months

    DIART® group at 3 to 12 months: Grade 0 11%, Grade I 79%, Grade II 10%
  2. 6 months

Comparison group at 6 months: Grade I 75%, Grade II 15%, Grade III 8.4%
  3. 12 months

Comparison group at 12 months: Grade I 75%, Grade II 13%, Grade III 12.3%

DIART® group n=44

Results were maintained at 12 months without any Grade III.

DIART® weekly injections after absence of all inflammation symptoms and exudate (average 5–6 weeks).

Comparison group n=42

Significant progression of OA in the comparison group.

  • How DIART® helps

In traumatic knee injuries, enormous local acceleration of free radical peroxidation occurs, being the key pathogenetic mechanism in osteoarthritis development.

DIART® insertion directly to the seat of the pathological process helps to normalize key pathological factors and slow down the progression of OA while restoring the antioxidant defense in the affected joint.

  • DIART® in chronic treatment

The use of DIART® in case of old lesions is accompanied by formation of fibrous and fibrous-bone regeneration.

    (Buryanov O.A., Brusko A.T., Omelchenko T.M., Sobolevskyi Y.L., 2008).

  • Sodium succinate

Affects the main factors of OA progression:

    • Hypoxia
    • Energy deficiency
    • Acidosis
    • Free-radical lipid peroxidation
    • Structural and functional impairments of the cartilage matrix

Clinical results

Two line charts over 12 months: pain on the VAS scale falls from 60 to 8 with DIART® against 75 to 22 in the comparison group, and TEGNER activity rises from 5.4 to 8.8 with DIART® against 3 to 6.5
“DIART® was superior to comparison group in reducing pain, rate of movement activity restoration and stability of treatment results.”
